Facebook audience estimator

See how many people your ad could reach before you spend a dollar. Pick who you want to reach, get Meta's real estimate, and watch your ad take shape beside it. No sign-up, and nothing you type or upload leaves your browser except the targeting.

Who should see your ad?

Stays on your device — nothing uploads.

Why check your audience size first?

The most common Facebook ads mistake is not bad creative — it is pointing a good ad at the wrong-sized audience. Too broad, and your budget spreads thin across people who will never buy; too narrow, and Meta cannot find enough people to show the ad to. Checking potential reach before you spend turns targeting from a guess into a decision, and it is the first thing our one-form launch flow shows you as you type. Pair the reach number with the ad cost calculator to see what reaching that audience is likely to cost.

Questions, answered

How accurate is the audience estimate?

The range comes straight from Meta’s own delivery estimate for the targeting you picked — the same number Ads Manager shows — counting monthly active people on Facebook and Instagram who match. It is an estimate of potential reach, not a promise of results: how many of those people actually see your ad depends on your budget and how competitive the auction is.

What audience size should I aim for?

For local businesses, tighter usually beats bigger: an audience of 50,000 to 500,000 in your service area generally outperforms targeting an entire country. If your estimate comes back in the tens of millions, add an interest or narrow the age range until it describes your actual customer.

Does my ad image get uploaded when I use the preview?

No. The preview runs entirely in your browser — the image you pick is displayed locally and never leaves your device. Nothing here requires an account or stores your data.

How do I actually launch this ad?

Create a free Five Minute Ads account, connect your Facebook Page, and the same one-form flow you see here builds and launches the real campaign — no Ads Manager needed. There is no subscription; you pay a fee only on the ad spend you fund.
